Focus Dots On Tabs

I am using the above control. Run within the IDE everything is fine, however when run as an .exe, focus dots appear on the Tabs. I am running Windows XP Pro, is there anything I can do?

For some reason in Explorer the focus dots can be hidden but it appears to be impossible to do this under XP. Currently I can’t work out how to change this behaviour.
